Sportsmanship

Sportsmanship is an understanding of and commitment to fair play, ethical behaviour and integrity, and general goodwill toward an opponent. It is an affirmation that an athlete is disciplined enough to have perspective, maintain poise, and do what is best for his or her teammates. Sportsmanship summarized in a few words is;

• Giving your best effort

• Having a positive attitude

• Fair and honest behaviour in sport

• Accept calls and don't argue with officials.

• Shaking hands with the other team before and after the game.

• Treat the other team/players/parents with respect and never tease or bully.

• Support teammates by saying "good shot" or "good try" never criticize a teammate for trying.

• Encourage Female-led sports teams!

• Stop assuming that men are superior athletes!

• Create policies within 3ON3 for gender equality at our events!

• Female/Male/Co-Ed teams compete in the same place, at the same time!

• Boost media exposure (Dedicated female court with a live stream via Baller TV)

To go along with diversity and inclusivity, we believe equality is about recognizing and removing the barriers faced by people involved, or wanting to be involved in sport. It is about changing the culture of sport to one that values diversity and enables the full involvement of disadvantaged groups in
every aspect of the sport.

Women's Basketball still fights for equality and 3ON3 Basketball Canada is dedicated to confronting the lingering gender inequalities, and addressing them in the following ways promoting change in the world of sports towards female athletes.

3ON3 Basketball Canada’s commitment to inclusion will strive to give the community a voice and empower them to contribute to solutions, program design, or other important decisions. We hope our events bring the community together to create welcoming and inclusive environments, in hopes they can lead to greater involvement by diverse communities. As participants, volunteers, administrators, and officials from all over Ontario, Canada meet in one place for fun, competitive 3on3 Basketball games!

We believe access to sports is essential and unfortunately in CANADA, there are still children and youth who cannot experience playing a sport due to a lack of leagues and resources. We here at 3ON3 Basketball Canada listened and saw the absolute need to provide Canadians, with a lack of female leagues especially who lack resources as well to be able to access and play the game they love. We hope to grow 3ON3 Basketball Canada Nationwide!

3 on 3 Basketball is an Olympic sport worldwide and now it's time to have Canadians experience the rush of 3 on 3 basketball in a half-court, refereed, and first 21 points setting! All are welcome to join the event.
​
We see the absolute need to provide Canadians with another avenue to play the game they love, via community building 3 on 3 Basketball Tournaments!

Always in a fair, safe, entertaining, and competitive setting! sportsmanship first and foremost! With prizes for finalists and championship teams!

“My Team” means anyone “YOU” reading this! “YOU” can call your friends, teammates, and family and make your team with 3-4 players! Your choice! 3on3ball.ca is an opportunity for any age, any level, and even co-ed teams! “My Team” build yours now! and you will play teams in the divisions of your choosing.
